The General Purpose Computer (GPC)-1000 unit can serve in one of four roles: (1) as the voting plane in redundant flight control architecture, (2) it can be an I/O data concentrator, (3) it can function as the mission computer or (4) it can provide flight controls/autopilots to an application. The GPC-1000 accepts the state-vector output from one or more Athena INS/GPS products, closes the autopilot control loop, performs the voting logic and sends the control commands to actuators. These include primary flight controls, stability augmentation flight controls, engine controls, and other subcomponent controls.

Key Features & Benefits
*Supports Triplex, Dual and Simplex flight control architectures
*Supports single or multiple servo-control channels per GPC-1000
*Contains a CPU that supports communication with all installed INS/GPS and its designated servo-control channels
*CPU also supports any voting functions allocated to the unit in the target architecture
