This color flat-panel display with an extremely wide viewing angle can replace your existing instrument or provide the entire display system (FDS-255) in a new or retrofit application. The active matrix liquid crystal design and our proven display electronics give you a highly reliable and easily maintainable flight instrument. User specific display applications can be downloaded over the ARINC 429 bus via an ARINC 615 protocol. The MFD-255 contains internal graphic generation, and analog and digital input/output including ARINC 708 weather radar. In a dual display installation, reversionary modes provide for fail-safe redundant operation. A larger active area of 4.22 x 4.22 inches (17.7 sq inches) allows you see more information on the display.
